How often do hedges need trimming?
Fast growers like lilly pilly and murraya usually want trimming two to four times a year on the Gold Coast to stay sharp. Slower or formal hedges can go longer. We will recommend a cadence for your particular plants.
Can you bring an overgrown hedge back into shape?
Usually we can. We reshape it in stages so we do not shock the plant, encouraging fresh growth to fill the gaps. For very woody or bare hedges we will be honest about what is realistic.
How tall a hedge can you handle?
We maintain everything from knee-high borders to tall screening hedges. If it needs height reduction we will shape it back safely while keeping the screen you rely on.
